Creepy spider

People tend to freak when they see a tarantula. That is not without reason. With its length of eight centimetres, our hairy ten-legged friend looks indeed really creepy!

Two large poison fangs

Fortunately, our curlyhair tarantula is only interested in insects and small rodents, which she locates using her legs. The ends of the legs contain senses sensitive to scent, taste, and vibrations. Once the spider catches its prey, it uses its two fangs to inject it full of poison. This paralyses the prey and liquefies its innards, making it possible for the spider to suck them up.

The tarantula lives behind the scenes in Pantropica? You can meet this jungle terror during the shows in the Jungle Theatre.
