Are you travelling to Pantropica soon and do you want to prepare your visit? Below, we have listed the information most important to your visit to Pantropica.

Accessibility and wheelchair hire

Pantropica offers various provisions for making everybody’s visit as pleasant as possible. For example, it is possible to reserve a wheelchair free of charge via our reception desk, among other provisions. All information can be found on our accessibility page.

Lost property

Did you lose something in Pantropica? Our staff members bring all lost property to the reception desk. Once you returned home, did you find out that you lost something? In that case, please contact our reception desk.


Pantropica offers free access to a Wi-Fi network. The Wi-Fi password can be obtained at the reception desk.


There are 10 parking spaces for disabled people available adjacent to the entrance. There are no charging stations for electric vehicles.

Public transport

The nearest train station is the Steenwijk station. From there, you can take bus route 76 in the direction of Marknesse and dismount in front of Pantropica. On weekends, Pantropica cannot be reached by public transport. Dogs are welcome on our premises, provided that you adequately walk your dog in advance at the car park and keep the animal on a leash on our premises. Dogs are not allowed in the Lori Bush. There is a special route around the outside of the aviary.

Our restaurant will also welcome your dog. However, we kindly ask that you do not bring your dog along to the self-service buffet as this is against hygiene regulations.


Of course, you are allowed to take photos at Pantropica for personal purposes. You are allowed to take photos or record film for personal use, as long as you do not inconvenience other visitors, animals or staff.

Recording video clips and professional photo shoots are not allowed at Pantropica. Do you want to make recordings for a TV programme, vlog or article to promote our park? Contact us via info@pantropica.nl or on +31 (0) 527 20 28 75.


There is an unguarded cloakroom just before ticket control. There is no need for a coat in Pantropica. Pantropica is entirely covered, with the exception of the Flamingo Lagoon.

Baby care

Pantropica offers various amenities related to care for your baby. There are microwave ovens in our catering establishments with which you can heat bottles or food. Each catering establishment also offers a number of children’s seats free of charge. Changing tables can be found at all three toilet facilities in the park.

Payment methods

Cash and PIN payments are accepted everywhere in Pantropica. You can also pay with a VVV Gift Card and a VVV Gift Voucher.


There are three toilet facilities in Pantropica: in the central hall, at the meerkats in Safrica, and in the Hanami Flowerpark.

Bringing your own food and beverages

You are not allowed to bring your own food and beverages. You can always obtain snacks and beverages, a lunch or a hot meal from our catering establishments.


Pantropica is a non-smoking environment. This means that you cannot smoke anywhere inside. Smoking is permitted only in the car park.

Medical assistance

Do you require medical assistance during your visit? In that case, report to the reception desk or alert a staff member as soon as possible. There are always first aid-certified staff members present in the park. An AED is available at the reception desk.
