Temperature in Pantropica

The sun is always shining!

In Pantropica, you can imagine yourself in tropical paradise. Our advanced climate controls enable us to create an ideal environment for our exotic plants and animals and to make sure that winters are not too cold and summers not too hot. Temperatures on the continents of Pantropica average between 20 and 23 degrees Celsius. There is no need for a coat as Pantropica is entirely covered. You can leave your coat in our public cloakroom upon arrival.

Our plants, animals, and visitors dislike excessive summer temperatures. Therefore, the entirety of Pantropica is equipped with sunshades that can be closed in the event of summer temperatures. In addition, the roofs have been whitewashed. This provides a sunshade effect.

The cool of the night is certainly preserved until 13:30 as the park is supplied with ample water at night and in the morning. This makes Pantropica in the morning cooler than outside. In the event of summer temperatures, we recommend visiting in the park in the morning. That’s when it is cooler and the animals and plants are on their best behaviour.

Water-rich environment

You can discover the jungle in your own way in Pantropica! Let young adventurers deviate from the path and discover the jungle park together, clamber over rocks, and play in PanAvontura. We recommend that you bring a change of dry clothes so that children can play and romp about worry-free.

 Vlinderica butterfly garden

Butterflies are veritable sunbathers! We took this specifically into account in the Vlinderica butterfly garden. The roof lets in the sunlight unimpeded so that our butterflies can happily warn themselves. This makes Vlinderica the warmest continent of Pantropica. Here, the average temperature exceeds the rest of the park by 1 to 2 degrees Celsius.

Tip! Do you want to optimally enjoy active butterflies? If so, schedule your visit in the morning! During the darker months of the year, our tropical butterflies are most active in the morning.

Flamingo Lagoon

Pantropica is fully covered and counts 10 continents, including the Flamingo Lagoon. You’ll remain dry during your walk through this covered outdoor space, although it might be a bit chilly in the winter months.
