The giant prickly stick insect resembles a prickly leaf and is almost unnoticeable among wilted leaves. In the wild, the stick insect can be found in the forests of Australia. When a female stick insect feels threatened, it will curl its tail upwards and extend its front legs in the air. In this position, the stick insect resembles a poisonous scorpion and will scare away its enemies.
