Golden pheasant

Take it easy!

Golden pheasants originate from mountainous regions in China. In the case of impending danger, the pheasant will initially wait it out and then fly away at the last moment while letting out a hoarse scream. The female sports solely brown, grey, and black feathers. Inversely, the male’s coat is much more exuberant. The male golden pheasant namely has a colourful plumage (golden, red, orange, black, brown, grey, and light and dark blue) and a golden crest.
